Medina wins Chapter of the Year!
|
Bowling Green State University was the home of this
year's Ohio DeMolay Conclave at which the Ohio DeMolay
Chapter of the Year was announced. Everyone had
just finished their luncheon when State Master
Councilor, Eddie Jones, began reading the various
awards. Our advisors and members held their breath
as the Chapter of the Year award was finally announced.
Upon hearing that Medina had won, the members, joined by
the chapter sweetheart climbed the stage to receive the
award. The excitement was great as Medina Chapter
claimed this award for the first time in its history.

Master Councilor's Corner
I would like to thank all the members of our chapter
for electing me to serve as M.C. for the next term.
Our Installation will be held on August 19, 2006 at the
Western Reserve Masonic Community near I71 & Rt. 18.
The Installation will begin at 7:30pm and there will be
refreshments and a dance to follow.

Time to
make the Donuts
Yes, it's that time
again, Medina County Fair time!
The week is just about over and the DeMolay
boys have been working very hard helping
Medina Lodge making and selling donuts, Hot
Dogs, Ice Cream, and Drinks.
Oh!
Just so there's no confusion, a "hooker" at
the Donut Hut is the person who "hooks" the
Donuts from the conveyor and places them on
the cooling racks |

A Month of
Awards
July was an awesome month of awards for
our chapter. Beginning with the
District Awards Night on July 14, 2006.
On that night "The Medina pdf Formats"
received bowling trophies for being league
Champions. Sean Shuler received the
most improved bowler trophy, and he and Dad
Shuler won a trophy for Father-Son high
scratch game. Our Chapter was
presented DeMolay International's award for
"Outstanding Publication". Also, Alex
Marshall received the PMC/MSA award for his
term.
At Conclave we also received the "Membership
Sword" for bringing in the most new members,
and a certificate for exceeding our
membership goal. Adam Marshall won
first place in Putt Putt Golf, and Alex
Marshall teamed up with our sweetheart, Liz
Obert, to take second place in Euchre.
It is an exciting time in the history of
Medina DeMolay, So come and be a part of it! |

Senior Councilor's Scoop
Well
if you missed it, Medina Chapter is Chapter of the
Year. Conclave was loads of fun with boys from all
over the state. Our brother organization, the Order
of Pythagorans was there too. We had a lot of
parties and pulled a few pranks. With the summer
drawing to a close we still can have fun outings
during the school year, and it would be a good time
to bring some of your friends along. Who knows they
might be a great DeMolay. The only limit on the fun
and the brotherhood is up to you. So, let's go for
it. There are four "F's" of DeMolay: Females,
Fraternity, Food and Fun. Come on out and Define the
Moment!

Junior Councilor's Journal
Our newly elected
Junior Councilor is Brother Tim Williams. We are
looking forward to receiving newsletter articles from
him soon! Until then, let's all focus on bringing
in new members. Remember, all the chapters start
all over at zero for the next Chapter of the Year!
